2020 RBSC Sport Day
The much anticipated RBSC Sport Day held by the RBSC Tennis Section brought members together in a fun-filled and action packed activity, reinforcing the idea of environmentally friendly get togethers to introduce new members and welcome back those who have lost touch. The aim of the event is to bring together members who might have put down their rackets for over a decade and to reignite their passion for tennis and more actively participate in future events, as well as to acquaint new and existing Members from both RBSC and Polo Club.
Based on the concept of The Tennis Grand Slams tournaments, participants were divided into 4 color teams; Aussie Blue, French Orange, Wimbly Green, and US Navy. Members of all ages took part in friendly and less competitive tourneys, ranging from 5 to 87 years old! The turnout was truly overwhelming with close to 300 Members taking part, considerably one of the biggest Sport Day event ever held. The event was divided into the following segments:
8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. : Kids at Indoor Hard Courts
12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. : Young Adults at Indoor Hard Courts
3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. : Adults at Grass Courts
6:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. : Dinner and Awards Ceremony
After an exhilarating day of competitions, Members were treated to a delicious dinner and awards ceremony presented by 5 ex-National Tennis Players from RBSC.
