Club Updates – Old Clubhouse Project Report

We would like to thank all members for participating in the Old Clubhouse survey. We received just over 1,700 responses from members and would like to express our appreciation for your time and comments provided. Although this survey is not an official vote or plan of action, the data collected will help provide further insight into the general membership thoughts and opinions on the future of the Old Clubhouse. Below is a summary of the survey results:

In additional scheduling information regarding the project direction and timeline, a petition for a site inspection submitted by the Fine Arts Department in May 2021, states that the Old Clubhouse is to be considered a “historical building” and that any plans for conservation or restoration may require permission from relevant agencies. As additional steps are required to ultimately determine strict regulatory compliance for the project, clear consensus on its future direction will result in additional delays at this stage. The Club will immediately inform members of any progress and/or updates as received from the external parties.

สมาคมฯ ขอขอบพระคุณสมาชิกกว่า 1,700 ท่านที่สละเวลาเข้าร่วมตอบแบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นโครงการอาคารคลับเฮาส์ แม้ว่าแบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นครั้งนี้จะไม่ได้เป็นการลงคะแนนอย่างเป็นทางการ หรือเป็นการสรุปเพื่อตัดสินใจดำเนินการใดๆ ก็ตาม แต่ข้อมูลที่ได้รับและรวบรวมมานั้น ทำให้สมาคมฯ ได้รับทราบความคิดเห็นและมุมมองต่างๆ จากสมาชิกที่มีต่ออนาคตของอาคารคลับเฮาส์ ความคิดเห็นจากทุกท่านมีคุณค่าต่อสมาคมฯ เป็นอย่างยิ่ง และสมาคมฯ ได้สรุปผลการตอบแบบสอบถามดังนี้

ในขณะที่สมาคมฯ ได้ดำเนินการรวบรวมข้อมูลเพื่อกำหนดทิศทางของโครงการ รวมถึงกรอบเวลานั้น ได้มีการร้องเรียนจากสมาชิกไปยังกรมศิลปากรในเดือนพฤษภาคม 2564 โดยกรมศิลปากรได้เข้ามาตรวจสอบและพิจารณาว่าอาคารคลับเฮาส์เข้าข่ายความเป็น “โบราณสถาน” ดังนั้น การดำเนินการอนุรักษ์หรือกระทำการปรับปรุงใดๆ ต่ออาคารอาจจะต้องได้รับอนุญาตจากหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง ทั้งนี้เพื่อพิจารณาและหาทางออกในการดำเนินการขั้นต่อไป กระบวนการที่เพิ่มเติมนี้มีประเด็นสำคัญที่ต้องพิจารณาอย่างละเอียดรอบคอบ เพื่อให้การดำเนินงานเป็นไปตามกฏเกณฑ์อย่างเคร่งครัด การตัดสินใจจึงจำเป็นต้องใช้ระยะเวลา ส่งผลให้โครงการมีความล่าช้าเกิดขึ้น โดยสมาคมฯ จะแจ้งให้สมาชิกทราบทันทีหากมีความคืบหน้าใดๆ หรือได้รับรายละเอียดเพิ่มเติมใดๆ จากหน่วยงานภายนอกดังกล่าว
